Joseph Fetto, MD

Dr. Joseph Fetto is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, NYU School of Medicine. He is actively involved with biomechanical and clinical research of joint replacement surgery for the hip and the knee. He has published numerous articles, chapters, and textbooks in the field of orthopaedics. Recent developments in these areas include the NYU Lateral Flare Hip Design, which is presently being implanted at medical centers in the U.S., Japan, Europe and Australia. This implant has been proven through prospective clinical studies to reproducibly outperform traditional hip implants in preserving bone, while providing superior function and outcomes in patients undergoing hip replacement surgery for a variety of arthritis conditions.
