Paul Di Cesare, MD
Dr. Paul Di Cesare is Professor and Chief of the Adult Reconstructive Service and
Director of the Musculoskeletal Research Center of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases
Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. His practice specializes in complex primary,
revision, and primary hip and knee replacement, infected total hip and knee replacements,
and knee arthroscopic surgery. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University
of Southern California in Los Angeles. He then completed a one-year fellowship in
Adult Reconstructive Surgery and Musculoskeletal Research at the ME Mueller Foundation
and the University of Bern in Switzerland. His approach to hip and knee replacement
includes use of non-cemented replacements with alternative bearing surfaces, computer
assisted surgery with the use of navigational tools, and minimally invasive surgical
techniques. He has performed over 2000 hip and knee replacements.
