StevenStuchin, MD
Dr. Steven Stuchin is Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint
Diseases and Chief of the Arthritis Management Service. He is a consultant to the
United States Food and Drug Administration Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Panel and
has served as a consultant to the National Institutes of Health. He serves on the
editorial board of several orthopaedic and biomedical journals. Dr. Stuchin has
written 8 book chapters and 47 scientific publications in the fields of Arthritis
Surgery, Hip and Knee Replacement, and Hand, Wrist and Elbow Surgery. His current
research interests include the design and evaluation of total hip and knee replacements;
enhanced minimally invasive surgical techniques; advancing the coordinated care
of patients with rheumatoid and other inflammatory forms of arthritis; and improving
surgical techniques in problems of the hand, wrist, and elbow.
